The August 28, 2010, dive a long on Sail Boat Beach at Deer Creek Reservoir was a FUN and yet a little bit of a challenging event. We had strong wind gusts (up to 45 miles an hour at times) all day long. Congratulations to the divers completing their Drysuit Certification Class conducted by Brian Snow – Instructor, and students Katherin and Todd), and with the other divers who attended the fantastic Spear Fishing Safety Clinic the night before, conducted by the Jake Zoun at Neptune Divers. Due to the high winds, multiple divers trying to hone in on they’re newly acquired skills, and the multiple boaters abreast, I must say I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED with each and every diver who had taken the extra time and safety precautions to ensure it was a safe and enjoyable diving event. Most only did one dive due to the high winds and low visibility, and as a result we spent a lot time just getting to know each other better, which in my opinion is really what made this day so great. Mark, you are always welcome to join any of Neptune Diver’s dive a longs and planned trips, it was a pleasure meeting you and hope to see you again soon. Great job everyone and thanks for coming out.
